Dr. Eve Summers has spent nine years engineering Pure Blood—a synthetic, copper-based hemoglobin that could free "feeders" from hunting humans. But when her work threatens the centuries-old Hunter's Guild, they dispatch Kane Ashworth to stop her. As Kane infiltrates her lab, he discovers he carries the very marker he's sworn to destroy—and Pure Blood is activating it. Eve holds the science; Kane holds the proof her father's unfinished legacy needs. Together, they flee the Guild and synthesize an Anchor—not to erase what feeds are, but to stabilize them. In a world built on fear, Eve and Kane must prove that blood can carry memory without carrying violence.
